Addition Details: Demo rear deck, excavate to basement, create a walk-up basement, exercise room in basement with large window, and space for hot tub. Main level additional interior space for a family room or dining room. Second level addition expanding the master suite, to include a larger master bathroom, walk-in closet, and a larger bedroom with a private balcony facing the lake.

The big reveal is the kitchen! I have included a couple of before and after photos for comparison.
The kitchen has a brand new white shaker style and soft close cabinets. Marquita Midnight quartz countertop along the perimeter of the kitchen and our famous choice of Calacatta Laza quartz on the island with a double waterfall feature.
The island has enough space for seating and the work side offers ample cabinets and a microwave drawer. The stove is the focal point of this kitchen. The client chose a commercial grade 48" @fisherpaykel cooktop and a 48" @fisherpaykel hood.
To factor in storage, we suggested 12" deep cabinets along the oven wall and a small prep sink with floating shelves for decorative display.

This is their home office. The real wow factor is the built-ins, an amazing feature to look at but also very functional. The client loved the dark gray speckled throughout the house and wanted it in the built-ins. What an amazing touch!

The primary bathroom was a huge improvement. The bathroom used to be a small closet and a small bathroom. When the addition was built, the bedroom was able to move down to allow space for a proper walk-in closet, a dedicated shoe closet, a coffee station, and the spacious primary bathroom. The added bonus is the view from the new balcony and the wall of windows to allow all the natural light into this new luxurious space. More photos of the primary suite to come.

Adding stair lights to the stairs adds a nice detail. The stairs leading to the basement and leading upstairs have these same lights. It adds a touch of elegance.

The kitchen and master bedroom coffee station are getting tiled also. This white picket tile with black grout looks really sharp, wouldn`t you agree? We suggested black Schluter Trim to tie in the black countertop and grout with the white tile. It looks great! ⠀

We designed a hidden pantry to mimic the cold air return on the opposite side of the kitchen. You know us and our love for hidden pantries. 😉 Both the pantry and cold air return are wrapped with shiplap. This trim detail is duplicated on the range hood which we spec`d to match. ⠀

The luxury vinyl flooring has been installed and the stair treads have been updated. For the treads, we updated the look by taking the rounded end off the orinigal tread and wrapping it in red oak. This looks really sharp and mimics the thick treads we put in our new construction homes. ⠀

We had spray foam in the vital spaces, the exterior walls. The ceiling portion that has spray foam is the balcony off the master suite. The mudroom ceiling has spray foam to ensure this space stays cozy year-round. ⠀

It is time to help the owners visualize the update to the exterior of the house. The new addition needed siding and the decision was made to replace some of the existing siding. The basement bedroom is now officially a bedroom! The egress window well has been put in place, the window will be installed soon. The bedroom also has 2 large closets and a private bathroom! There is much more light in the basement now. It was a good idea on the homeowner`s part to add this. ⠀
