Gilkar Design + Build is a boutique firm offering custom services in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. We assist our clients through the entire residential or commercial construction process. From acquiring land, designing the unique features, and building it from the ground up. We have all our services under one roof, feasibility study, architectural design, engineering, permitting, selections, and construction.

Our Process

1. Concept Plan

  • Based on your selected lot and your needs we will design a house that suites the buildable area of the land and utilize features in the house that are most important to you.

 

2. Grading Plan Design & Approval

  • We provide the concept plan to a civil engineer or your choice who will create a grading plan of your lot with your concept plan.

 

3. Architecture & Structural Plans

  • Once the grading plan is approved with the county your concept plan will be turned into the building plans that will be submitted to the county for approval.

 

4. Permitting

  • Submitting building plans to the county for approval.

 

5. Full Service Interior Design

  • Choose your finishes with our design team to help balance the beauty of the products and also the quality to ensure they last.

 

6. Construction Ready Documents

  • You have an approved grading plan, building plan, and detailed finishes selection. Now you have all the information needed to get an accurate price for the job.
